Josephine Shell in Silk Crepe

A short, shell version of our Josephine Tunic. This piece is an amalgamation of a few difference sources of inspiration. The Josephine was a piece I designed very early on - named after a favorite Wallflowers song, it was a simple cap sleeve tunic that worked with anything. For this version, I improved the fit of the sleeves and neck, and added volume at the back with a box pleat. The side slits were inspired by Colette, one of our very first seamstresses, and a dramatic, full-length, sheer tunic with slits she made for herself years ago. The side vents add the perfect amount of movement and drama to this piece, create a subtle a-line shape and hint of ease around the hips, and allow for excellent air flow.

Pair with matching shorts or trousers or with a great pair of jeans. Floaty and simple, the architectural silhouette still feels super wearable and easy in this length. This piece is one of my favorite marriages of functionality and beautiful form.
